From my ukulele diayr 397 - harmonising major scale with 7th chords ~ STAGE 2 ~
Adding another line (starting on G, 2nd string) to my previously posted “harmonising scale with 7th chords exercise”. This new line creates the intervals of major 7th and minor 7th that I’m always drawn to.
But at this point, my brain is thinking more about the chord shape rather than linear line because this new line stays in the same position as the notes on the 1st string except on the dominant chord (V), although I’m strongly hearing the parallel 10ths as I play.
It’s in Ab major. The chords that I’m working on are:
Abmaj7 (I) - Major 7th chord
Bbm7 (ii) - Minor 7th chord
Cm7 (iii)
Dbmaj7 (IV)
Eb7 (V) - Dominant 7th chord
Fm7 (vi)
Gm7b5 (vii) - Half diminished chord
Abmaj7 (I)
