@tycoonpratik - the "button" is a speed control, not just an on-off switch. Also, a decent system allows for braking by shorting out the supply rails to feed the motor's back EMF back into itself. Slot racing is a lot like real driving, without having to steer.

Scale MPH are so silly. So many things change when you scale down-- cross section, Mass:surface area ratio, etc. Can't we just be impress that a little car is going really fast instead of trying to hyper inflate it to scale mph? So are we reaching the speed of scale sound? I don't know if people knew this or not, but when those lil figures that come with trainsets talk, their voices actually travel at Scale Mach 1.

Slot cars turn nice people into fanatics! The Red Mist is a common disease in the slot car community. The host had it bad. Fist pumps, high fives, and screaming in peoples faces! The only cure is victory!

previous record was held by a novice with an off the shelf car-well done you beat her. Also, they got to 983.33mph in scale, bloodhound's trying to go faster than that in real life... food for thought.

Would the record count if I was to fit my Chevy Impala Pro with a Nitro RC plane engine? Or I could just go to a china wholesaler and buy a 90,000RPM motor for $30

Intersting, that at 15 mph with a special motor the thing only revs to 27.5k... my xmod rc could do that stock on 4.8v. Hmmm...

That track looks like crap. Its not even flat. That second crash he had was the blade hitting a bad bit of slot. You could go much, much quicker with the track set up properly, not in a freakin field.

Does it matter if you know him? If he comes off as a tool on tv then he's not a good presenter.
