I just received a call from someone asking to do a survey on what technologies I use around the house. I did participate in it and answer their 5 minute survey. I wonder if I shouldn't have?

as long as they didn't ask for your personal details, you shouldn't have to be concerned. Some surveys are legit and are done on the phone or face to face. But be weary of the phone calls who leave a message in your phone saying that they are from a crime investigation unit and prompts you to press a number. I dream that one day the world will rid of low life scumbags and they will never see the light of day again.

Telephone surveys involve... telephones, which are more personal than an e-mail address. I'd avoid answering a telephone survey, and not by saying "please contact me on this e-mail address" but rather "no, thanks"

@@razvanpopa7393 I do not answer to anybody on the phone who I do not know. I tell them "write a letter so I can assess if I want to accommodate you or not." Nobody wants to write letters, except me - great. I can't read the callers numbers, too small.
