The North Bay miniature railway has been transporting passengers from Peasolm Park to Scalby Mills in Scarborough England since 1931, and is still going strong today whilst so many other attractions has been and gone, such as the cable cars.
At the time of this video they operated a fleet of 5 working locomotives, including the new steam engine "Georgina" which they built themselves in 2016. Sadly since then they have reverted to just the 4 diesel-hydraulics, and the steam engine has gone elsewhere.
Once a year they run their gala, which gives enthusiasts the chance to go "behind the scenes" and into the sheds to capture all the engines at once, and they run all the engines throughout the day in rotation.
Here is the story of the 2019 event, which benefitted from glorious weather and shows off the beautiful Yorkshire coastline to its' best.
