YES. What about trying to fit a Hayabusa or Ducati swapped minibike? LOL, I saw someone selling a 750cc V-twin minibike on Facebook a couple days ago. That would be funny. thanks for the quality content, man. I cant wait to see how the cross kart turns out. Do you have any plans for racing your crosskart, or your (completely stock ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) mower, against any of the carsandcamera's builds?

My stepmom and dad let me cuss at a young age but they also sat me down talked to me about it like where and when I should not do it, in my teenage years I would cuss like crazy but now that I'm in my mid 20s I don't try and cuss infront of my parents, sometimes I do when I say certain things and they just laugh because they don't hear me say it like that especially a joke, also i'm not telling you how to raise your kids but I will tell you that they will cuss whether you want them to or not.

That 8.58 pass you launched it perfect, not a hint of bog and rpm stayed flat till you got out a little bit. Make a bump behind the seat so you can launch relaxed instead of having to hold yourself on and then you can concentrate on your launch, once you get the 60’ consistent the string of mid-low 8s will follow

You should pick up a couple of books on porting two-strokes. For instance if you raised the exhaust port height it would allow the motor to rev higher and make more horsepower, it would also reduce torque. But you’re moving less weight than the motor was originally designed for shouldn’t be an issue. Fantastic build looks like a lot of fun. Those motors have no power valve and it’s air cooled so it’s just great to learn to port.
@refuge33

Like Vasily really needs your advice, listen if it needed porting, he would have already done it, and well. I hate these keyboard "experts" who probably don't even own a bicycle giving high-performance mod tips. This is like me telling Dale Earnhardt how to drive agressively and win more races you twit....

Back in the late 60’s I tore around on a Bonanza mini bike with a Hodaka 100cc 2 stroke engine. I remember having to mix the fuel. It came with an expansion chamber exhaust which I typically rode with the baffle removed. Looking back I’m amazed my parents didn’t get complaints from our neighbors. It was great fun!

That was pretty awesome. It's all in the launch. I think a tach and shift light would help a lot with consistency and testing. As a guy who drag races motorcycles, that was pretty good. If i can, I want too give you a couple of pointers. If your going slick/wheelie bar, drive around the water box and just roll he back tire into the edge of the water. PULL FOWARD and then do a small burnout. It will clean the junk off the tire and put a little heat into it Use the right groove on the track. If the bike makes a left or right move coming off the starting line, the christmas tree is a lot softer than that concrete wall. You need more Launch RPM. No worries about looping with wheelie bars, and slicks need a little wheelspin too "get up on the tire". Just a FYI...gearing correct....thats about a high 12 low 13 second machine in the quarter mile.

My home track and has been my entire life. One of my favorite places to be. Brainerd optimist drag strip hold a very very special place in my heart so thank you for the Post. BTW that was Mr. Steve Longley, AKA former owner of the track, he's a really good guy. Funny story about him is back in the day and he is main bracket race car broke and his in the finals, so he asked the man he was up against if he would be up to letting him race in the finals using his pit scooter, his opponent agreed but quickly regretted it. From that moment on Steve said it was a lot cheaper to race it rather than his race car and one just about every bracket race with a 50cc scooter for that season. The catch was next year there is a strict girl against that given by NHRA which I have to admit I agreed with which was two wheels were not allowed to race against four wheels with that much weight of a weight difference.

Cool bike man good to see you keeping the 2 stroke scene alive. If I could offer some advice that will easily put you where you wanna be,stop throttling thru the gears. The only time you hit wide open throttle is on take off after that you clutch and bang thru the gears leaving it wide open. It takes a little practice but keeps you in the pipe and does away with any and all throttle lag. It will not hurt anything it will be a continuous pull and will change everything. Good luck bro.

They sell big bore kits for these. lol... you could make it more spicy.. I would change the sprocket gearing, so you can still start in first and have one more high gear at the end of the track. You can shave a lot of time on your take off-- you need to anticipate the light a little better and let out on the clutch earlier... edit: actually you were getting much better starts by the end

It was a little hard to see how you were shifting, but here is a little trick just in case. After launching don't use the clutch. Put pressure on the shifter then let off throttle just a little. Of course this is all done very quickly. Maybe on drag bike V2, put an air cylinder on the shifter connected to a button that also cuts the ignition, for a super quick shift.

Getting the maximum output of a 2 stroke is tough. You have to think of the clutch as your throttle. Just before you get the green light you need to rev the engine. Get the rpm up so that you are in a better spot on the torque curve. Then it's all about the clutch. You can't rush it, especially on asphalt with a knobby tire. You need to let it out slowly and smoothly. If the bike tries to spin out on you then you need to ease back on the clutch but NOT the throttle. It's a tough dance to learn but it's what makes 2 strokes so much fun. Love the build by the way!!
