Our lutefisk is already reconstituted, all we have to do is defrost it, put cheesecloth in a large pot of softly boiling water, and serve it with boiled/mashed potatoes, melted butter, lefse, green beans, canned cranberry sauce, home made rolls, mild wine! (And, by the way, it turns the inside of the kettle black!)---I've never heard of those other two dishes...did they get created after my Great-Grandparents came over in the 1880's?!---Next, you two tell us what you will actually be eating with your families?! Ronald, what in the name of God and ALL. THAT. IS. HOLY. did you do to deserve this? Why does your best friend hate you so much? Mads, it's time to LET IT GO! Whatever Ronald has done to you in the past, you need to forgive him and move on. Or, you know, at least not film him when you're trying to kill him. I felt like I just watched a fifteen minute horror film just because it had my two favourite actors in it and now I don't like one of them any more ;). I LOVED it but I felt too bad for Ronald to "enjoy" it (plus I had my hand over my eyes through most of it!). I have to say though too - Mads singing "have a Happy Christmas" song while Ronald was slowly expiring in front of his eyes was FREAKING GENIUS! X

Highlights: 1. Mads' baritone voice: "Mostly cry." When he hears :"You're gonna laugh. You're gonna cry..." 2. Petrified cod + Drano = edible Christmas treat? (Amazingly, I had a friend from Norway who served this one year and it wasn't as bad as one might think.) 3. Mads' baritone voice: "It's probably committed suicide just walking on the cliffs." (Referring to the sheep.) 4. Solemn holiday music in the background during the eye removal process. 5. Given a choice between this holiday meal and COVID-19, I'll take the latter. Thanks, guys, for a genuinely unforgettable (no matter how hard I try!!) episode. Later edit: Upon further reflection, I realize that all the ingredients shown here are probably included in a typical American hot dog. Along with some others that may be even worse. So maybe my squeamishness was unjustified...?

Yay, lutefisk! In Minnesota, we eat it served with melted butter. So it basically just tastes like mild fish with lots of butter. That’s the cuisine in Minnesota-if it doesn’t taste good, add more cream, butter, or black pepper, or maybe throw in a can of cream of mushroom soup and make it a hotdish. The more white or beige it is, the more it tastes “like home.”

I have lutefisk in my freezer. The irony of drying a fish to preserve it, reconstituting it with caustic chemicals (probably not lye - whatever chemicals "Big Lutefisk" or the "Fisk-Industrial Complex" sees fit to use), and then freezing it for preservation is not lost on me. I bought extra at Christmas because the Christmas batch was so good, but always forget that my wife gets mad at me for cooking it due to the smell.

Hei Ronald og Mads. This is vid. is a great way to showcase some of our traditional Christmas foods and put your usual hilarious stamp on it. You spilling the corrosive lye on the floor as so funny, Mads didn't seem to mind though! Mor and I really loved the whole vid. This Christmas will be extra small scale and quiet due to covid, the U.K is not doing very well in coping at the moment. We wish you god jul og tusen takk. Johnny og Mor. North West U.K.

LOL, that eyeball looked like Marzipan. No way you ate it raw. LOL Merry Christmas Ronald and Mads and families. I agree that the cheek is the best...it is on most grazing animals. Most folks here have Hog Jowl for New Years Day.

Even though "Waking up dead" impressed me more than the sheep eye disgusting thingy, I won't be able to make it to dinner with you two. No one invited me to I hear you say?! Exactly! I cannot go, do not insist.
