When I started watching this video, I thought that this would be a review of stuff I already know. Well, I do already know the theory but the advice you gave on phrasing and articulation is stuff I should have known, but didn't. You are an excellent teacher/ coach, and you really made me realize I need to get back to basics. A simple line done with just the right touch and feel is more satisfying than a flashy piece that is missing that polish and smoothness. I don't sing, but of course your advice applies to piano and guitar. You told me just what I needed to hear. Thanks so much!

Jump times to repeat singalong practice for each lick-- Lick 1. 16:26 .. repeat 2x Lick 2. 16:59 .. Lick 3. 17:34 .. Lick 4. 18:06 .. Lick 5. 18:39 .. Lick 6. 19:14 .. in truth i'd hum each one 20x for warmup then sing each for 4-6 mins straight by looping in a DAW, or transcribe into composition software and write a drum track then loop those 4 measures, thats my approach anyways. p.s. those eyes, you're a heartbreaker

Love learning by seeing the score. Would love the add-on to watch what your mouth is actually doing in slow motion, starting with the third line. Maybe you could slow down the pronounciation so or ears can grab it more accurately? Thanks for all you're giving us to keep music--and jazz history--alive, Aimee! Suggestions from others about this?

This is wonderful as always! I love the idea of transcription, slowing down and repeating. This makes everything so solid! Could you tell me the syllable of the triplets in bar 11? Are you normally using da, do, di, li? I am not very familiar with the syllable. Thx!
