Then later I played a tenor guitar, and it has a lot longer neck and a thicker body. The tenor guitar Scatman played was made by Martin Guitars - (just like the one Eddie Condon played) - it looks small on him because he was a very tall man. And what a talent he was! :)

Tenor guitar, a little bigger than baritone uke, but steel-strung, and originally tuned like a jazz tenor banjo so players could make the transition from Dixieland to swing. . Later some players tuned tenors like 4/6 of a guitar -- same as that baritone ukulele, which showed up in the 1940s or 50s

I know the point has been chewed to death about what modern tv comedy has lost or is missing, but this is just one of them examples of what made some things so right. You get amazing folks together, and just let em do… The 90s on you had so many awkward shoehorned cameos in sitcoms, but you can have cameos where you just sit back and let em do their thing and it’s amazing. These fellas were at the nth degree of they did, and it just produces up so much joy to see them doing it.
