The c-1 shape is like a carve top “a les Paul strat hybrid”. While the banshee offers a flat top with the ergonomic carves on the belly and arm sort of like the esp’s “m” shape. Schecter is a great brand, and I agree that their number one issue is marketing. They basically have none, and rely on word of mouth. The Hot Rod is a Floyd Rose Special, except they changed out a few parts for stainless steel that take the most abuse, like the tuning screws. The Floyd on the Banshee Mach-6 is a 1500, not a 1000. Similar to the upgrades they did to the Special but more, they take the 1000 and replace all the wear points with a hardened stainless steel. I have a 1500 equipped guitar, and it has ridiculously stable tuning. My hard tail guitars tend to move more as the seasons change than the Apocalypse FR-S.
@MaestroJericho
4 жыл бұрын
I don't see the hate on the 1000 series, they're just as good as the OG ones and most people tend to agree. The specials are trash though imo, the hot rod still wasn't as good as the 1000. I had it on a sun valley super shredder and the string kept slipping.
@NickTheSickDick
4 жыл бұрын
@@MaestroJericho Afaik the specials are basically the same as 1000 series, except fpr the zinc alloy parts. Spend a couple of bucks on upgrading those to stainless and you have a great system, as schecter has done.

Schecter is def one of my favorite brands, I think my C7 Apocalypse FRS in that sick red reign color is the best guitar I’ve ever played, it just looks soooo sick, plus every finish is unique so that gives it some character, and I love the roman numeral inlays, I’m so sick of dots, blocks, and all the other generic inlays, they just looks amazing against the ebony. Must admit that I very much understand exactly what you were getting at with the whole not disliking Schecter, but not really finding yourself loving them either. They are well made and typically quite good price for the spec, but I don't tend to get that sense of "personality" you mentioned. I did just get a KM7 MK II since Guitar Center had one of their deal of the days where that guitar was damn near half off ($862.92 after tax rather than $1532.92). I do seem to be connecting with this guitar better than the other Schecters I've tried. If I'd had the money, I definitely would have gotten the Banshee Mach Evertune 7 string model though

Lefty here. I have 3 Schecters, an SLS Elite, A Damien Platinum and an Omen. 3 different price ranges, with the SLS being the highest. Hands down for the price, Schecter makes the best playing, guitars with the feature sets and construction quality right up there with top brands. I get the people that sneer at the 'metal' look, and i kinda agree, but theyre filling a niche, and theyre great guitars. And yeah the lefty love is a win for sure.

I agree with you that Schecter just doesn't have the "IT" factor. The Mach series has everything I would want in a guitar. Swamp Ash, neck through, stainless steel frets, and Hip shot bridge. Evertune..........such a wonderful idea. A game changer. i remember in around 2010 when PEAVY released the "AT-200 guitar" that had perfect intonation and tuning at all times (since it contained a PC computer with Auto-tune software running) That guitar was amazing......and just dissapeared. It was also inexpensive. So the Evertune idea has been done 10 years earlier and worked perfectly (and it was cheap) but nobody was bothered about Peavy.........they must have wanted a hardware solution. (hence Evertune) thx V
