Ingredients
Dried red chilies 1 cup
Boiling water 2 cups
Oil ¾ cup
Chopped garlic 3 tbsp
Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
Vinegar 3 tbsp
Ketchup 3 tbsp
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Water ½ cup
Orange-red color 1 pinch
METHOD
• Soak medium sized red chilies in 2 cups boiling water for 1 hour.
• Remove seeds and tail from the chilies.
• Then blend until it becomes a smooth paste.
• Heat oil in a wok, fry chopped ginger and chopped garlic for 2 minutes.
• Then add half cup water with all the given seasonings and cook till boiling.
• Cover and cook for another 10 minutes until oil comes on top and it thickens a bit.
• Remove from the stove, cool and preserve.
