(Rec Mar 2017*). In honor of 321A day, (in the year 2021 to be exact), here's a video from the vaults. I film elevators little to none anymore, but still film whenever I come across something interesting like this (*see note at bottom of description for full information).
Here we have a pretty nice Schindler 321A elevator in a Hampton Inn. Per the interlock, I believe this was installed around 2000 - 2001, which definitely makes this a 321A (also note the button placement on the jamb, the door jamb design you see at the end of the video, etc). Though not as loud as a motor as the two other 321A's I've filmed, this still seems like a nice one, seemed to run fine too.
The cab on this one is pretty nice, with a faux wood cab. The ceiling lights appear to have been replaced at one point, or at the very least, new panels put in. The only issue with this is the placement; the light shines right above the indicator, which results, you cannot see the indicator well (which I had to zoom into during the first trip up to see), but other than that, that's about it. LOCATION INFO:
This Hampton Inn is situated off of I-84 (and not too far away from I-90, AKA the Mass Pike) in Sturbridge, and is not too far away from the town center. This hotel opened in around 2001 or so and has been renovated over the years. Other nearby attractions include some shopping in Sturbridge, along with Old Sturbridge Village. A smaller Hampton, but a very nice one at that!

*Note on new content: I still have some elevator content in the archives, however, I film little to none anymore. I have moved on to other goals/interests, not to mention, I am so busy I don't have as much time as I used to. However, if I find something interesting like this, you never know what may come up...no promises, though! 😉
*Also filmed in March 2017, so this was a while ago, I'm sure some things have changed since then!
