Yes my grandpa and dad sang this in German, and I now forgot what all the words meant so glad you showed the chart so I can remember back when I was a child up to the age of almost 6 when I finally learned the English in first grade in a country school, which had 2 rooms, grades 1-4 and 5-8! Thanks again.

This is called a Hobelbank here in Germany. Schnitzelbank is the panlevania Dutch word for it.

Not quite. The Schnitz(el)bank or Heinzelbank is a shaving horse. A Hobelbank is a work bench or a jointer's bench
