Love it. Seems like with most people left the metal ceiling in. Mine I imported from US to UK and first thing I did was rip all the ceiling down. Well in truth it was more like a ridiculously long task of cutting all the hundreds of steel rivets out which took ages and pulling the heavy sheets down with a claw hammer. Ceiling got sprayed with foam and now putting up tongue and groove pine. Looks great.

Really nice job.I just purchased my bus in November of 2016 and will start the build in March of 2017...My bus is a 77 passenger bus and by the looks of your layout I will have an enormous amount of room...I've been purchasing things for the bus with anticipation of the build....It took me about a year untill I finally found a bus that when I stepped into it...it felt right

Beautiful conversion! It just shows that a family can live in one of these and everyone has their own space. The kids room is lovely with the bunk beds and once the baby grows out of the crib the room affords enough space for the kids to have their own parts as kids like to have their own space and there's plenty of room for both to express their own individuality (which is what most arguments with kids are about lol!) You did a great job!

You're Daughters bedroom is awesome !! Nice job on the whole bus ! Great kitchen, love the farm sink ! For you're bedroom you should tint the windows so you can see out and nobody else can see in, that way you still get all the natural light ! The book shelf idea is great. They make a cord and you can run two cords along it to keep your stuff in place while you're in motion. I really love the light wood you chose on the walls and everywhere looks fantastic light and airy !!! 😊 Happy trails !!!

Just a thought... properly atomized propane should not give off Carbon Monoxide, those stoves have little adjustable air doors on each feed to each burner that can be adjusted , if that stove was converted from natural gas that may not have been readjusted, you may want to have a gas guy adjust that for you ..... you don't want to fool around with Carbon monoxide, we had to have it done on a converted stove we had one time, having outside ventilation is a good idea anyway as you are using up oxygen with your wood stove and then the propane when you cook, just a thought..... nice job

Never considered IKEA as a source for an RV conversion, but knowing what they carry it makes perfect sense! Their products are well made and the prices reasonable. Many of the small things, accessories and kitchen cooking tools are cheap and well made as well.

Not sure why you chose to put the sofa so far back. I would've had it more in front of that lovely fire instead of in front of the kitchen myself but each to their own. Lovely conversion though ...sofa looks comfy. There is space above the kitchen for those ikea wire shelving units...which you can hang things on...they're really handy for campers ...check them out.

Ok… question time :) I'm a single gal who's had a LOVE for the tiny house movement since it first started appearing and I'm heavily considering the purchase of an F350 (possibly 450, I'll know soon) Ford Crest line Mini-bus (18 seater, which I assume includes the drivers seat and one in the very back) my first question is there's two of you and one of me, how long did this take you to convert in total (think you said 8months to this point?) #2. How much experience did either of you have with building anything? (I have NONE and your baby with all that Cedar is dreamy but not sure I could do it on my own) #3. Hope much did this cost you both? (approx is fine, but including the cost of the bus) Last Question: When you drive it, how much does it cost to fill the tank and what's the mileage like… I can halve this and convert to Kms… for my Canadian self) Thanks so much in advance and honestly I LOVED the lighting, in fact I adored the whole space… I'd go the shower route myself however. I also wanted to gift you a tip, with a new baby on the way and your little girl… pick up one of those galvanized tubs (usually round) for bathtub experiences, it could be stored under your bed or in that 'extra' space up front by the sofa when not in use as another place to put a few things in. I saw another conversion and they did this, after (like you both) deciding not to have a shower and it worked perfectly for them, while their kids were small and well you know, busy… lol BLESSING'S and your space is an 'I WANT TOO.'

I think u should Reconsider & put in a Shower stall . Esp after childbirth for cleanliness. You don't have to Cary 100 lbs of water. Carry50-70 or less. Showers do come in handy for children too . You have the room. It will make life so much easier, cleaner and safer from illness. Diff at times to find showers on the road .

Amazing work 😉 your lifestyle is so inspiring 👍I have a few questions...hope you can answer them (and I apologize if my english has some mistakes, but I come from Germany)😊: 1. Where did you buy the composttoilet? And what do you use as compost material? 2. Do the wires of the solarsystem run along the sides of the bus or where do you 'hide' them? 3. Do you have an extra tank for drinking water or do you use your water for everything? 4. Do you clean the water which comes from the tank in any way...like with 'filters'? 5. Did you have any problems with parking spots in the past, when you haven't found any spot to park over night legally? 6. How do you lock your bus overnight so nobody can come in? 7. Do you have to pay any...I don't know the word...extra taxes or so, because you live in the bus? So is that you regular home? I look forward to hear from you and I have to thank you one more time for your inspiring and cool work! 🙄
@longyarn4288

I know this is an old post and I can't answer all the questions but this might help with a few of them: 1- check Amazon and believe it or not, Pinterest; no idea on 2 or 3; 4-I would Definitely recommend some sort of filter, there's a filter that screws onto a garden hose if nothing else but then further filter drinking water with a Berkey or similar system. No idea on #5 but #6 concerned me as well! As for #7? Well, since they're not in a "sticks and bricks" they wouldn't have any extra taxes. If they find a place to rent long term, those taxes would be a part of their rent. If they were to buy a plot of land then they would be subjected to local taxes depending on the local rules and regulations of non permanent structures on the property. Them taxes is tricky see? Hope this helps a bit!
