Nice jacket Chris,, My go too jacket use tobe a Lewis,( an English version of a Schot I suppose),, but they are long gone(in subsidence if not in name).. I now seem to have a collection of leather jackets,, I have been collecting from second hand shops ( seems folks have been off loading in favor of textile jacs (what mugs) Probably my best buy has been a JPS Norton factory jacket from the late 80s,,it heavy as hell ,,but a good winter jacket(in dry weather) Thing too remember with leather is ,,,,its real dead animal,its not artificial,, it was once running around... I think its got soul !!! So you have to look after them...

I appreciate your videos. I am currently looking to move from a F800ST to an RT or GT, and I value the perspectives that you provide on your experiences with both. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and experiences.

It's a nice design, however i think this one is a nubuck... I would prefer a finished waterproof leather. Nice jacket though. Greetings sir, take care

I just got the Storm in black for Christmas and it is legit. It’s very nice and hefty. I jump on the scale with the jacket on and I weigh an extra 5 lbs.

I own this jacket and it is a gem of a jacket, the nubuck leather has a strong and high quality feel to it. Is pricey but is worth it, You can’t go wrong with this jacket it fits like glove

I just got the Schott 508 from the Schott factory sale earlier today. It retailed for $880. It went on sale for $600. I got mine at the sale for $300. Let’s just say I’m a happy camper. Looks similar to the jacket featured in this video.

Chris Bernie here from the uk. Just wanted to thank you for the help you provided in an old video on how to decide the top box key on an rt. I've just finished refurbishing a 49 litre too box, put it all back together my last job being to decide the key. I managed to get it wrong and the key wouldn't come out of the lock. My heart sank as I thought I would have to take the whole thing apart. I played your video and right at the very end i heard you say there was a way to release the lock without stripping the box down again. You mentioned the hole in the tab that pokes out when you unlock the box from the rack. Anyway it worked and all is now fine. You saved me time and stress thank you so much. Bernie

You mention the heft of the jacket, and just wondering, what is it like to live with it? Is the heft going to be too much after a while?

i like the heft, it holds its shape and cut. But its a real leather jacket with comp weight leather -- so it DOES take time to break in.

@@kiki231000 Jacket looks good on you, man. Not sure it would look good on a scrawny guy like myself. Still considering it though! :)

I am 5'11", and 195 lbs. I have a 33" waist and 43" chest. Size 16" dress shorts with 34" sleeves. I typically buy size L slim fit shirts and jackets.

@@kiki231000 Hi. Sorry, did you mean to say 34” sleeves? That would be super long. I’m think of getting your jacket in black. I’ll have to get it shipped to Ireland. Beautiful jacket dude. Can you tell me the measurements of yours please.
@kiki231000

@@MrHilly72 The 34" is a standard sleeve length usually posted on tags for "large" size here in North America. The measurement ( i believe) is taken from the nape of the neck , along the shoulder and down the arm. This is a slim fit jacket and is comparable to a European size large.
