Thank you, Anthony. I have been looking forward to this posting. My main question surrounding any elliptical: How often does it need to be serviced? That's a maintenance cost that I usually try to factor into my decision. I love my Schwinn exercise bike. I've had it 13 years. I've owned a ski machine by NordicTrack and liked it as well. This elliptical sounds like my kind of machine.

Hi Mark, your question sounds like a true engineer's question. Honestly, we never service any of the equipment in our clinic. Things are so well built these days and these devices almost never breakdown. Occasionally I will tighten a bolt, but aside from that my guess is maintenance is next to Zero.

Bikes hurt my ass. And it's awkward to stand on bike pedals with handlebars below you

Thank you Tony for the review. I have both TNR as well as my hips, and I just bought this machine and do like it overall. Just one thing, there seems to be no resistance from level 1 to 5 and above, it feels like only one resistance and the level one is actually strong compared to a gym machine level 1 with no real resistance. Do like the overall footprint as it's compact and seems sturdy and not to noisy.

Hi. We just bought a 411. We like it a lot, but would like to reduce (not increase) resistance more than the default Level 1. I found nothing in the manual about how to reduce resistance.

I just bought the 411 and I'm surprised how strong the resistance is on level 1. Do you notice that there seems to be not much resistance difference between level 1 and 5 and above?

@@tonyr.valdez1660 I just got this and started using it this morning. Wow I noticed the level 1 is pretty difficult to do. I can't go more than 3 minutes at a time on level 1 which is crazy. I just cancelled my gym membership at the Y. I was able to use their elliptical on HIT and other programs. However, I really struggle to get 30 minutes in on the schwinn 411 on level 1. lol. I wonder if it is normal for this machine.

Hi Tony, thanks for the great review. I was looking at the Schwinn Elliptical 470 and trying to get information on the footplate, whether it is flat as you recommend or it angles and I could not find anything online. Would you be able to tell me whether the footplates on that machine are also flat as you recommend, or, should I just go for the Schwinn Elliptical 411? thanks very much.

Awesome Ty for the tips I’m lookin into the 430 411 470.. for the 430 how’s the foot petal I saw the foot plate on the 430 and it looks like your foot has a cover where you actually put your foot in? Lastly can this machine assist with slight knee arthritis? Maintained with floor exercise and weight maintenance?.. ty

I can no longer run due to foot injuries and am not able to reach higher heart rate zones above 130HR without some sort of cardio machine. I have read that cyclists have some of the largest and fittest hearts so I am leaning towards either a spin bike, stepper, or elliptical. Can an elliptical be used to reach higher heart rate zones and do max stead state 140-160 and HIIT around 170HR+? How would you compare intensity of workout between an elliptical and quality spin bike like a Keiser M3i? Can you recommend any other low impact machines for reaching these higher zones?

there are lots of reviews saying this model has too high of resistance on the lowest setting. Is that true?

It might not be. You would be at the tallness limit. The main issue would be your long legs. This is better for 5'10"

@@totaltherapysolutions Thanks. The stride length made me raise an eyebrow; my legs are so long, that they make me look taller than I actually am.

Have you actually tried this machine? There are so many negative reviews regarding very difficult lowest setting, and disintegrating roller wheels.
