@@romeoechousa Well, all together I'm an even 90%. I have several service connected disabilities. Check out the Hill and Potten VA calculator. It will tell you what you need and have.

So I am service connected for low back with left lower extremity sciatica. The VA presumed me 30% for the left leg sciatica. Why didn’t they “presume” right leg sciatica? Do I have to file another claim to get it service connected since they didn’t presume it for me?

I had back pains all the way from my first active duty station in Germany where I had a accident that I fell asleep on the wheel and I hit a pole and the car flipped like 5 or 6 times not sure how many times exactly. I remember being upside down when the ambulance and the policei showed up to the scene . I did hit my head while being flipped so many times in that crash . And a bruise on my arm . I still have the pics of the crash on my old camera just incase.

Had a 100 foot parachute fall accident in the late 90s. Service connected lumbar strain. Currently have sciatca diagnosis and recent mri shows spinal stenosis. Bad enough, the VA called me. We will see how doctors paraphrase symptoms and see if they will actually opine the connection between them them. Gonna try to get a dbq from doctor. Thanks for info.

Another one is doing an accidental flip in the air and landing on the small of your back on a cement pier !

My MOS was a mechanic for 3.5 years. Had to spend hours a day on my knees twisting and turning my back and body into awkward angles while turning wrenches and replacing metal parts. But in the 90’s you were a wimp if you went to sick call so I never did. Can I service connect my sciatica directly and only to my MOS even without injury on medical record?

It's hard to answer your question without knowing more about your case. However, there are several ways to service connect a condition. You can learn about the 5 ways to service connect a condition here: www.woodslawyers.com/veterans-prove-service-connected-disability/?.com&SciaticaZack&CommentShare

What is the difference between sciatica and radiculopathy?
@woodslawyers

Radiculopathy is an umbrella term referring to multiple issues with nerves being pinched in the back. Another name for sciatica is actually lumbar radiculopathy. You can read more about this on our blog if you are interested: www.woodslawyers.com/how-to-get-va-disability-for-radiculopathy/
