Hello my friend. I am a PhD chemical engineer and my specialty is metallurgical chemistry. I am building a foundry to start casting gears for transmissions that a friend designed. He is part of the tractor pull and race group. He found that transaxles and transmissions that are commonly used are not supported any more. I decided to make an aluminum bronze alloy and cast the gears from it. Not only that I am building a 1928 Morgan Aero GN special race car replica. There is only one in existence and it is in England. The car was made to look like an airplane back then with an engine in the front and three wheels along with a cloth covered wooden frame. I am casting an adapter for an experimental opposed twin engine to mate to an MGB transmission driving an MGB rear with brakes and beautiful wire wheels. type in the description in KZitem's search and there are a bunch of races. I am also building a laminar torch for glass blowing and casting. toot much for here..lol Do you have a Facebook page?

Howdy, good luck with your torch. I am very happy NOT building that (or anything). No I'm not on Facebook.

Grab yourself a firekist swivel, you will never use a brass one again!

I am sure they are great. They are also five times more expensive than brass swivels. 💲

They are but they hold up alot better, supplying a class would be pricey but one for yourself would be cool.

Is that a cork brick?! What is that for? Perhaps to hold pulled point prepped peices? I would question weight for tipping, then we’re getting into connecting it to some wood or some bottom weight

No, it is a very dense brick.
