It does not look brighter than the stock light. The white color is nice and having LED is better for the electronics. I'm trying to find a good replacement for mine. Stock bulbs are 2 x 25w. Any recommendations?

I've got some led lights the will bright up all 4 lanes but it killed my battery, is it the voltage regulator or do I need to change the AC to dc?

did you test AC vs DC - the kits i have seen are a lot brighter under DC load....

I did try a rectifier and a large capacitor. It helped a bit but didn’t feel like enough to be worth it.

@@1ManWrenching connect directly to your battery switched. I think you can use a wire from your keyswitch that is DC

You should not use more then 2 sided. It has no proper light image. It will scatter all over the place and blind other drivers.

Never convert an automotive light without also converting the enclosure. It is ILLEGAL. A halogen light must be in a halogen based enclosure and an LED light must be in an LED based enclosure. This is because of the differences in the heat and reflective characteristics of the types of light bulbs.

Heh, the original light was flat out dangerous. As you can see in the video, I took time to position the light in the housing for the best pattern. It was far better after the conversion, but nowhere near dangerously out of control. The heat from a 20watt LED is FAR LESS than the heat from a 55watt incandescent. Stock bulb wasn’t even halogen.
