I use Streamyard for my live model trains and a podcast called how to restore your Gen 1 Camaro. Really can get challenging and a bit stressful.👍

Hey Scott, I’m about halfway through how to draw. And I’m just curious, did you intend for it to be immediately followed up with how to render? Or do you think I should first spend some time applying what I’ve learned to other subjects( fantasy weaponry) I’m interested in?

I read both. I practiced how to draw for a while, and then I moved onto rendering, which showed me just how important having strong estimation skills for form and perspective are. Go ahead and read 'how to render', it'll show you WHY the things he talked about in 'how to draw' were so important. It'll most likely help you understand the concepts he laid out better, but you'll also realise you're likely not quite ready to move on yet. Atleast that's how it was for me.

@@kulusic1 that’s my biggest fear is moving on way too early and cheating myself out of progress. I’ve been in how to draw for 6 months now and I’m just now getting to modifying forms.

Don't get too attached to the idea of cold calculation and accuracy though. Especially when applying those concepts to illustration and painting. How to Draw is an excellent instructional book for building drafting skills and understanding 3D space on 2D surface, but one can easily misinterpret its message and have confused priorities, given how in-depth and technical the book is.

Hello Mr Robertson, In page 54 you show how to use the brewer method. Is there anything like that but for 3 point perspective with vanishing points off the page?? I am really having a hard time trying to do a drawing on birds eye view and creating a grid. I know how to do it when you can see the vanish points. But I don't know what to do if you cannot see the vanishing points in three points perspective.

Hi Scott, what's the best way to draw perspectively repeating windows on the side of say, a French building? Drawing a box, then diagonals and mirror each window is really not the way to go.

It would be great if you could talk about professional work for a bit in every video. Briefly show us your books, websites, products, how other professionals work in the industry and what they do, who are the large customers etc. It will help many of us stay on the right path of the job.

Hi!! Unfortunately, I do not speak English and use a translator , so I apologize for mistakes. Draw in the next stream how to correctly show light and shadow on wheels (tires, disks , spokes) And make the render with markers. This is a very complex and interesting topic . Which I have big problems with.

Mr. Robertson, would you please be so kind to recommend us actual designers such as yourself to see and learn from? With the emergence of computer technologies, we are witnesses of surge of all sorts of "wanna be artists and 3d modelers"....who think that just because they installed a software on their computer, makes them a good designer.
