As far as I'm concerned I have never, ever thought the commemoration November 11 as a celebration of victory in war! To me it is a symbol of rememberence of the horrifics, damage, mental, physical, cost and pain of war. Lest we forget, God, Allah forbid. Come together and start loving and caring, for humanities sake. When on earth did it become a glorification?

I can tell you why. All religions say "do not kill", and means so. We humans make mental pictures of who is OK to kill. At the moment we live in a plant where humans kill and eat All other living beeings. Really try to feel it. It is insane. All eating meat are killers. This is a dense energy. As you may know for your own life, on bad violent experince takes years of good loving actions to overcome. We kill around 10 billions animals a year. Thus is insane. Every day for a faming animal, also fish farming, is day in a killing camp. Not much love. Think of our socites, not much love, top down rules and every CEO us king and can do what the person want to other people. I know there. is social media and rules in our part of the world but still the same structures since the beginning of living here. People do not see and understand how evil they actually with their low awareness level when you eat all thar suffering, dead, violence and torture of animals you accept, with knowing it, a very violent solution to things and a top down totally controled society. Half the workforce could change it by staying home for 14 day and meditating or be still and the whole society will break down and a nwe with direct democracy and no killing can be built. But it is not realistic as people never reach this level of awareness in massed. Hence all the violence. Try go to slaughterhouse and watch for you selv they are more hidden than former killing camps. Strange is it. Think of all the logistics to the killing factories, done mostly in night time. People in general are really not aware of the energy the realise in socity by EVERY action, words and thought. So make your on accounting and violence is high on the income list and beeing kind to them who cannot give back like animals, nature, threes, the see life, the soil, and poor people, is very low on income, no money in it. Only big money to destroy and build up. This is my perspective after not eating anything animal for 10 years.

I wear a poppy every year. Not to glorify war or any victory, because I don't feel there was a victory at all. I wear my poppy to commemorate - and remember - every single life that was lost in a needless war, be they human, animal or bird. In the morning I'll probably go to our local Cenotaph for the Remembrance Service - to remember all those who died. I've never seen any mention of the glorification of war. For our tomorrow's they gave their today. Lest We Forget.

Thank you Steve, your insights are invaluable. I learnt to knit at primary school, we used to knit squares measuring 4" x 4" out of scraps of wool donated by the women of the village, and then sewn into blankets for refugees. I'm 70 in December and, like you, have always known refugees driven from their homes and happiness by WAR, or Floods or Famine. God help us!

I always enjoy your videos. I don’t believe in war. “ when the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace” Jimi Hendrix. Here in the USA, we honor the men and women who served and sacrificed for our freedom. My father was 17 years old when he was at Normandy beach. My husband is a Vietnam veteran. I have several nephews who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. We’re not honoring victory or war. We’re honoring the people who protect us.

I cant' even imagine your father at 17 on that beach. Here's what I wrote....Hello Steve. This is Remembrance Day as you have stated. It is NOT however a Glorification of War. It is a Day, a time of Reflection. Of Remembering the lives of countless young men and women who died for what they believed in, who died in fear (war isn't easy!), who died in hope of a better future and a better world for ALL of us. The hearts that broke when they didn't return home. They may not be alive but their descendants certainly are. And maybe still they watch over us, maybe still they desperately try to get our attention to turn away from constant conflict and war. I was deeply saddened by your views. In the US we call it Veterans’ Day. The emphasis is not on war. The entire emphasis is on people, the soldiers, the individuals who fought as a group-that’s Aquarius, certainly. Our remembrance is not of war but of those whose sacrifice gave us the free lives we have today. If Hitler had fulfilled his dream, his delusion, and taken your country, would you starting 68 years ago have had the life you have had? The US stayed out of war, stayed out of Europe’s wars for 122 years. Had we continued to refrain in the 20th century, I’d not be commenting here because you would not openly be an astrologer there. The last American I’ve ever heard of who loved war is Patton. He, who believed in reincarnation-knew he had been a soldier many times before-is quoted as saying he knew this was his last lifetime as a general and was sorry for that. Why war? World history since 1776 reveals that democracies in general don’t make war on each other. The Falklands, an exception to that rule. Both 20th century and these early 21st century wars were/are initiated by despots, autocrats, fascists. Should we let them have what they covet? Until they’re at our doorsteps? Why war? Because democracy is not a gift, anymore than individual personal and spiritual development is a gift. It must be won, attained, fought for, cried over, worked for and won again. We are anti war and pro democracy. Those are the two opposites that breed modern war. From 1900 when the world had few democracies to 2000 when we were at 2/3s of the nations being democracies, we have advanced. Bloodily, yes. (After all, this is a Scorpionic Moon comment.😉) In America we celebrate the victory of democracy through each individual American life given, not war. And will do so until 100% of the nations are democracies and war as anachronistic as blood letting. And if a nation in a full, free election chooses a king or wanna be king, they’ll deal with it-according to laws democratically enacted. We are so doing in the US at this very time. Love your astrology, Steve. Often amused by your “rants.” Blessings. Oh, and for any who grasp amusing astrological connections: this New Moon exactly conjuncts my Jupiter conjunct Venus. On the cusp of the 8th. Opposite Uranus.

The military industrial complex. Former 4star General, then US President Dwight D.Eisenhower warned about these issues in the 1950s. That and raising social Justice issues, fully racially integrating the armed services cost him a second presidency. 11/11/1918. In Canada, it’s Remembrance Day, in the US it’s Veterans Day/Armistice Day, where we thank our veterans. Memorial Day in May is when the U.S. honours those who made the ultimate sacrifice. D Day and Pearl Harbor Day are also honoured.

Those 100 years of war you talk about, actually 100+... sad to say the country of my birth has had it's fingers in all those wars in 'little countries' for 100+ years and profited by enriching the military industrial complex and arms dealers paid for by US tax dollars and the lives of all those 'foreigners.' While the people were blissfully unaware and buying into the propaganda. Thank Goddess the internet is changing this sad lack of awareness. May the sudden changes of direction these aspects bring the big changes and shake ups not only the UK needs but the entire world!

I feel bad for those people that go through transit of Pluto Square moon. Being born with it, it's just been my life and the older I get, the more I seem to shake it off… Of course, it's not as easy as shaking, but I work through it and the more of the childhood issues ( esp my mother ) I deal with , the more of a past it becomes. It is a literal rebirth. It's like I was born to die and replace that death with something brand new.

I disagree that we are glorifying and celebrating war; WW1 or any other. The people marching at The Cenotaph, or any other War Memorial, either in Britain or any other country marking Remembrance Day, are there to remember, to grieve, to say Thank You to those who gave their all so that we might be free. There's no celebration in the Royal Albert Hall when the poppies fall; one petal for every service man/woman who died. I'm with you on most of what you say, but I most definitely do not agree with you on this.

Ah, England...the land where Tauruses are queens and prime ministers! It highlights the importance of location in astrology. In the USA, with its Sagittarius rising, Sun in Cancer, and Moon in Aquarius, no one expects much of Taurus. No one really cares about Taurus. I don't think we have ever had a Taurus president. But when I went to England and while I lived there for several years, people looked to me and expected me to have the answers. What should we do, what do you think, they would ask. It was startling and pretty amazing.

Well, in my country (Romania), earlier today (so at about the New Moon time) an online article came out exposing a local business that merged many alternative therapeutic modalities. This business is promising rapid healing and overcoming generational and past lives trauma, healing DNA and other difficult diseases (such as cancer). And if people didn't have thousands of euros to pay, for that programme they could ask for a loan at a bank that partnered with this business. The company's employees could apply for the loan on behalf of the seeking customers... This is an example of what Steve was mentioning at the end of the video.
