Fun fact the top piece isn’t for blocking sun. The proper way to use it is by tilting your head down to block mud, pebbles, and debris while riding behind another motorist off-road.

Hi there, just started riding again after 10 or so years downtime. I have this helmet with about 300 miles of use so far. Thanks for pointing out the vent slide in the inside of the chin bar. As far as the visor doodad… Cruising at 60-70 I have not noticed it effecting the aero at all.

Good to see competion for overpriced Arai and Shoei. I am impressed with the features, materials, build quality, fitment and aesthetics of the AT-960. Battle tested for 10 days in Vietnam and it worked great saving my noggin twice. ;-) I am coming from an Arai Corsair-X. I also tried a Shoei Neotec 2 but found the chin area way to cramped. Plus the Sena SRL had a horrible interface (crap buttons vs better jog dial). GoPro question: which chin mount did you use? I've tried clip and strap types but they did not secure properly. Thanks!

I just got the same helmet, color and all. The vent at the top... I haven't noticed a difference opening and closing it. In fact I haven't figured out which position is open and which is closed. Edit: i just looked closely at it. Forward is closed, back is open. I don't notice the difference on the road.

There are some vents in the chin bar. Apparently they are adjustable, but you didn't show and demonstrate how they work. Furthernore, I believe the chin bar vents can be set to de-fog the visor. Again, this was not shown. One other issue, how well does the seal between the face shield and the helmet work? Is is airtight? Will it keep out rainwater?
@Petesmotoadventure
7 ай бұрын
Yes, there is a vent on the chin bar. Simple slid. It has an excellent seal on the visor. I rode for hours in a heavy rain and no water. I also use the pin lock antifog screen.

@@Petesmotoadventure thanks for all the details in your review. On RevZilla it looks like you have to buy a separate pinlock-ready visor, and then the pinlock itself, and the total is about 80 bucks. Just want to check if that's what you did, or if there's some other way.

I'm on a tight budget, so I have the *Cardo Spirit HD* , which is a great simple little unit. I'm wondering how involved it was to mount your Sena on this helmet. Such a shame that they designed the speaker cups and the left side of the helmet to make it hard for people not to buy their proprietary comm system.

Thanks for watching.I found that it has a good comfort compared to my RF-1200, and Neotec. Lighter than the Neotec. Is the build quality the same, no when it comes to the foam lining. It is a good value to me. Good enough for my upcoming month long trip from FL to Alaska and back.

I just purchased this helmet. My head measures 22 1/8". The sizing chart would have put me in a Medium or almost a Small. I was able to put the medium on, but it was really tight. The large was tight but not uncomfortable, so that's what I bought. I'll try to remember to follow up after breaking it in.

@@Yowzoe It still fits a little snug compared to my last helmet, but I don't think it's completely broke in. I hadn't ridden much since then. It is comfortable, just a little snug. After riding for about 10 minutes, I don't notice it at all. Maybe I had too loose of a helmet in the past.😁

@@ChadAmiot yeah, apparently the conventional wisdom is that most people wear helmets which are a little bit too large for them. Getting that sweet spot in fit is pretty key. I'm at 22 1/2", which should be the lower end of M. Hard to say though, especially when I hear of an experience like yours. No Scorpion retailers anywhere near me, so… guess I'll be wearing it in my kitchen for a few hours before deciding whether or not to return for a different size.
