@@lai_strength_training lol the taekwondo kick produces way more power so what you're saying is wrong, however the Thai kick is more useful as it uses the shin instead of the foot and the foot breaks quicker then the shin
@rainmuaythai
3 жыл бұрын
@@RANDOMGUY-yz3nk How so? Scott even explains how using the whole body to kick (Muay Thai style) is stronger than just using the leg (TKD). The TKD Roundhouse kick is essentially a hard slap with the soft foot and the leg recoils. The Muay Thai Round kick is a like swinging a baseball bat, you strike with the shin and keep driving through the target...using the densest bone below the knee.

In my utmost humble opinion. “ It is the units that completes the whole” “ Advanced are basics done correct” Many neglect the the importance of the foundations, and as mr Adkins points out, the pivot, the hips, the knee, as well as the forward motion of the intent in concordance with the overall proper kicking mechanics, enables you not only to kick hard( as expertly demonstrated) but it allows one to to follow up with maximum effect/ minimum effort as one lands within the proper foundation/ base. Ie economy of motion/ conservation of energy, this in term enables you to repeat the process( as much as it is needed) as there are no guarantees, only opportunities( missed or taken) in a fight scenario, with less fatigue. This footwork also has the benefits of enabling oneself to engage easier with the hands, since one’s upper body( observe his shoulders) is correctly aligned behind the hips/ knee of the kicking leg. Also notice how mr Adkins stands as he is able to kick effortlessly with both legs( rear/ and lead) all in due to perfect application of the overall footwork. Sublime technique. Many take for granted these day’s the opportunities to learn from someone as talented as mr Adkins, right from the comfort of one’s own home. as the over saturation of media is rampant, and for many the complacent attitude it brings with it, as the information is readily available at one’s fingertips without need to sacrifice nothing more than one’s time to click the thumbs up/ down button, neglecting taking into consideration the amount of blood, sweat, tears, pain, that sets the foundation behind this ability to perform at such an high level. Information such as this were almost impossible to come by when we were younger( 80,s) you had to know someone literally to get an appointment, order by mail vhs tapes, or reading articles/ books and try to decipher whatever you could if you didn’t have the opportunity to train at a decent school. Again, appreciations for sharing your insights and life long dedication to the arts we all love and share an equal burning passion for. It is an honor to be able to observe and learn from an peer such as yourself. Sincere regards. Fellow martial artist. Tom Framnes. Norway.

People act like there's a crazy amount of acting in batman but even in the Nolan trilogy I'd say Christian Bale did ok at most. First movie was good, Ledger (RIP) completely stole the show in the 2nd and Hardy in the 3rd. He is literally showing the Muay Thai way of roundhouse. Here is the kicker though half the stuff they never teach you have to discover yourself. This vid is absolutely legit.

how much does scott weigh? is he a tom cruicer or a man? because i kicked one of those and it kept falling over which made me stop training and pick it up, spending 1/6 of the time kicking and 5/6 of the time picking up the dummy is not very efficient ;(

@@johnboylan3832 you have never been kicked by a professional using his shin haven't you :) He can broke your ribs with just one kick. If you watched UFC or ONE you can see that there's alot of KO by kicking in ribs which is what he's showing in the video. And on top of that those who got KO by the kick had train their body to take lots of damages unlike normal people

Tbh it would probably depend on what he connected with. His foot, fuck yeah, that would most likely kill. Shin, it's a possibility, but the most likely effect is ko. Effect of a move basically depends on what part of your body that you connect with iirc.

I like before the video even start Master Scott Adkins 2020: G E T I T T O G E T H E R M A T E (with a slap) I hope you make more movies as always especially if possible being the main antagonist in John Wick 4, an action movie in Peru/Argentina/Samoa/Brazil/Columbia, movies with Master Jean Claude Van Damme, Marko Zaror, Lateef Crowder, Sharlto Copley, Tim Roth or Mark Dacascos. Maybe make a part 2 of Hardcore Henry, part 5 of Boyka Undisputed, medieval action movies. I'm a big fan and I hope you read somehow my comments it would mean a lot because I look up to you as like my idol alongside with Sir Jean Claude Van Damme. I really love watching your movies sir from Assassination Games, to Undisputed trilogy, Doctor Strange, The Medallion, The Brothers Grimsby, American Assassin, Hercules, Ninja and Ninja Shadow Of A Tear, Universal Soldier. I hope you're family and you sir are safe and healthy, more power and wisdom as always.
