If he had chosen to play the pianoforte he would have been an international superstar but he stayed true to his first musical love - the harpsichord. It is truly a crying shame that he left us at such an early age.

excelsior999 I think, he first studied piano and organ; later he started to study harpsichord. The problem of him was that he died so early, but he is recognized who a very good player, one of the best player of Scarlatti, for example. Have a good day.

Leçon de clavecin rare de la part du maitre de clvecin ...Scott Ross restera un artiste unique , qui porta l'art du clavecin au plus haut . Il n'y a qu'a entendre son interpretation subtile des barricades pour comprendre .... ilrestera une météore trop vite passée.

Le Maître a raison, il faut jouer cette pièce un peu plus lentement pour bien séparer les accords et faire ainsi ressortir la mélodie.

Yes he recorded the complete works of Harpsichord by Couperin (+250 pieces I believe) and what is rarer Scarlati (+500 sonatas).

@@cdfaccount8759 Scott Ross agrees with you : "Benissimo, benissimo". Alessandro de Marchi is a very fine Baroque conductor and harpsichordist.
