I first heard The Walker Brothers when I was 11 and a half. The voice of Scott blew me away. By the time I saw The Walker Brothers live in 1966 I was head over heels in love with Scott and 'First Love Never Dies' is very true. To this day I love to hear Scott and have as many albums as I could afford. So Scott in answe to your question ' Who(will Take My Place) I can tell you that NO ONE could ever take your place, you are still No. 1 in my heart and always will be. Thank you for the happiness.

First heard of Walker via Chris Connelly who covered "The Amorous Humphrey Plugg" on his solo debut record Whiplash Boychild, which is in its way an equivalent record. Its value is sure in my personal canon. But it would be years after Connelly's record before I was disabused of the notion that Connelly wrote Humphrey Plugg. In fact it was Connelly again somewhere in an interview or article who clewed me into Scott Walker. But I did not go seeking walker then. It was really only the rising star of KZitem on my horizon that tuned me in on Walker, and the Walker Brothers. And your channel above all for quality content and variety and volume. Thank you. The more I listen to Scott Walker the more I listen to Scott Walker. It's only been about a year or two that I began to listen to him.... I was born in '74 so I am a boychild in the Walker universe. I reckon I've heard about half his output. I hope I'm wrong and I've heard only a modicum. Thanks again.

That's wild, I first became aware of Scott via Gavin Friday, who I happened to hear live in the early 90s and did an amazing version of Jacques Brel's "Next", which led me to Scott's version.. I knew it was heavy, but didn't get around to following up on it sadly til Scott's passing, when a friend informed me of same. I'm old enough to remember some songs from Scott 3 being played on New York FM rock stations, before I became a jazz head, especially "Sons Of" and "Rosemarie", but never knew who the remarkable singer was.. very grateful to KZitem and this channel and the many Scott fans who have commented and enlightened me!

I'd like to know what about his music, personality, made you think such a thing! It's difficult to understand you thinking his music was/ is "crap" considering he had such a long history of making music and changed style very dramatically in later life! I don't get your comment at all and would like to understand!
