During our trip ‘once around Australia’ we will create highlight videos about the places we liked the most.
This video is about Mount Beerwah (QLD), which is one of the Glass House Mountains. It is located in Southern Queensland, West of the Sunshine Coast and is a must see, if you are into scrambling!
Once you get to the carpark, there is a normal hiking path leading to the rock slab. From this point you have to start scrambling up the rocks. The first few meters are quite steep, but there are foot holes you can use (a bit more complicated on the way down, since you can't see them easily). Just keep scrambling up. At one point there is a dirt track on the right side, which we call the cheat way. You can hike up there and hold yourself on the trees. At the wall you turn right and follow the track up to the summit, with some minor scrambling involved. When you get to the summit, there is a stunning 360-degree view you don't wanna miss out on!
On the way down, if you're scared of the steep part, you can take another cheat way. When going down, it"s to your right hand side, in between trees.
We hope you enjoy the video and follow our trip as well as our next highlight videos!
