I think I will use my blue Kaffes to make a scrappy quilt using these. Thanks for the idea!

I bet that will be beautiful! Maybe make some of the smaller squares in solids to break up some of the large, wild prints! Or have a wild Kaffe jungle… I’d love to see what you make! You can use the hashtag #copycatquilter on FB and I can find you or join my FB group by the same name. Thanks for watching! 💚

I did make this using my blue Kaffes at a retreat. It wasn't quite wide enough so I made half blocks that were 3 1/2" × 12 1/2" to make the size I needed. I added a few more layout blocks and came up with a total of 14 blocks that I just sewed in order. It worked wonderfully! Thank you so much for the idea!!

I signed up for your newsletter. You are a fantastic quilter. I tried to print up the pdf for the mathmagical quilt block. I could not get to it? Please give me further instruction. I have a teacher-friend who is mostly teaching math, especially to children who are special needs. She is a wonder in the classroom and a great long-arm quilter too. I want to share your block ideas with her. Thanks for your help. Irene

Hmmm… I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be able to print directly. If you send me an email at copycatquilter@gmail.com, I’ll email a copy and see if that works. Cutting out the shapes and letting the kids rearrange them would be fun math! You might want to trim 1/4” off each shape though if you’re just wanting to lay them side by side since the seam allowance would make the squares not fit in nicely. Thanks for the kind words and watching! 💚🙂💚
