If you gave me the same 4 sheets of cardstock you would never have gotten the result you made. This video is why you should not stop making content.

There was a time that all we had was cardstock! I think it helps us to focus on techniques and phtotos without finding the perfect patterned paper. Creat class!

Love card stock only layouts!!! Love how you did your layout. Just a tip... I use 2 inch wide double sided tape for my alphabet dies. Just leave the backing on the tape and stick one side of the tape to the paper. Put alphabet die on the paper with the tape on the bottom, with baking still on it, run through die cut machine and you have a alphabet sticker.

I really enjoy seeing your thought process as you design a layout...seeing you change your mind and come up with other ideas is very inspiring. I loved how you took plain card stock and made it look interesting and complemented your photos so well. Definitely, I'd love to see a video about your cats!

This turned out awesome. (Yes, I'm one of those slightly OCD papercrafters.) Nicely done. P.S. When I saw those decorative shapes during the launch event for this book, I knew you would be purchasing it to use in your creations. :)

Absolutely love your layout! And those arrows look fantastic down the side of the page! I would love to hear more about your other cats someday! We have 2 cats... Oreo (black and white cat) just turned 9 and Charlie (an orange cat) is about 9 months. We adopted Charlie from our local humane society to be a companion for Oreo since we lost Chino (orange cat) back in December 2022. Unfortunately he does not seem to understand when Oreo says no to him (hissing, growling, etc). She often ends up hiding under our bed. I find I am frequently giving one of them a time out so she can have some time to relax. Hopefully he outgrows his need to be biting her soon! It sure has been stressful for me. If things could go smoothly I think I would be a crazy cat lady!

I didn't think there could be so many great ways to use cardstock. Really love watching all these techniques, especially making your own woodgrain cardstock/patterned paper. Definitely have to try it. (especially as I'm waiting for my super bundle of cardstock to arrive on my doorstep here in NZ) It seems so easy and looks so good.😊

This is a great layout. I really enjoyed the faux woodgrain technique. That will come in very handy. And I like the challenge of just colored paper. Just starting out scrapbooking again after many many years away...and I am starting all over with supplies so thinking I have to get all the things right away...this helps to see you really can create a wonderful page using basic cardstock and stamps. I'm very interested in the design team group. I need to go look and check the details, it sounds like it would help me get my creative ideas flowing 😊

As soon as you put the dots on the tags, I knew that they wouldn't last!!🤣 You need your string or it just isn't a tag!! 🤣🤣 I didn't like your first choice of base cardstock so I was glad you changed it out. It seemed to soak in the photo rather than highlight it. So I see you using it later in strips! Possibly it needed a lighter ink over it to brighten it. In my mind's eye, I see it looking good with white daisy pigment ink, or you could just show the white core to brighten it up.

Thank you for the info about how to make the wood grain on cardstock. I love to use cardstock and what you demontrated is so easy to create custom color wood grain paper. This is so inspiring to see how using only cardstock, so much can be done to make a really cool layout. I really like this one that you created. How darling that the kitty wanted to be part of the video! How did you come to have these darling kitties--a bunch of us would like to know.

When I’m sticking those letters down I stick the main letter onto the outline then stick the whole letter on the page with some of the glue going onto the outline. That way I don’t have the glue spilling out.

Lovely! All cardstock is one of my favourite challenges. I too was seduced by Sticky Specs after seeing Dorothy use them all the time. I’m not a fan. Maybe I need more practice with it, but I find it tears up delicate die cuts and makes a mess.
