Excellent craftsman, very few people there like him. Making the leaf springs is fascinating, that's the most important part than the rest. My regards and best wishes.

I don’t think so, I didn’t see a plate on it. With a top speed around 20 mph or less I wouldn’t want to be around any other traffic in it unless in a parade or car show parking lot.

It belongs in a museum when you no longer us it or drive it. I can imagine trying to drive like a work out and have to be aware of everything .

Please tell me more on how y'all built the side spring a where did you get the rims and tires? I'm stuck at the side spring in my build and I want to get as close as I can to the look of your side spring. Thanks for posting the video.

hearsejr this was my brother’s project so I don’t have too many construction details, other than him answering my questions in this video. However I do remember that the springs were built by modifying some used springs that I gave him from a 1974 Jeep CJ5 to most closely match the originals he saw in the museum. I think he found the wheels from doing an internet search, they were Amish built, and quite reasonably priced. Not sure which vendor he used, but there are several. www.google.com/search?q=amish+wood+spoke+wheels&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari

@@danwarner9399 thanks. I guess I might have to stray from the original, when it comes to the side spring. Thanks for sharing the video.

Allen Barnett this was built by my brother, so I don’t actually have any photos of the build progressing. He built it from scratch after finding one in a museum then getting permission to take measurements from it and taking several pictures.

@@danwarner9399 My question is, what make and brand, was it when your relative received this from that museum? Thanks for the video.
