I've seen your video's before I think. I have a half painted starter set for Warhammer but I have yet to play. I painted all the cool ones first and now I don't feel like finishing.

Nice build. Pity the video was upside down. Also, no evidence of plans made it confusing. I do like your cutting rig though. Going to find one for myself.

As others have said, camera angle is important. Also, marking out field of view might help. Too much time spent where you don't see much of anything or only part of something, makes for a boring watch. Otherwise what you came up with was imaginative. I'd like to see it in a larger scale.

Nice design, really great to watch the build. Do you work straight from your head, or a sketch? Or do you do a 3-view and work out how to part it out in advance? Thanks for sharing!
@jaycoob7534

Jeff Zugale Thanks, I do these ships right from my head. I usually have some clue of the basic shape and scale but it can all change in an instant as I build them up like Lego's.

This is amazing! I keep looking at the screenshots of your videos and then am immediately surprised at how small and intricate the actual model is. What are you using for your primary material? Is it foam?
@jaycoob7534
8 жыл бұрын
Thanks, its polystyrene, a hard plastic. They do make foam with polystyrene though.

+Jay Coob That's super cool. I see other people asking about it - are you interested in doing commission work?
@jaycoob7534

+Danny Donahue Yes I'm interested in commissions. Did you have something in mind?
@dannyfdonahue

+Jay Coob Actually, I see a similar inquiry directly below. I'm looking into trying to make a low-budget short film that involves a handful of shots featuring a crashed ship. Have been exploring options - digital matte painting, models, etc. and figured a physical scale model might really be a viable option depending on if it's something I can afford.
@jaycoob7534

Danny Donahue Where will the ship be crashed and will the terrain need to be modeled as well? The price would depend on the size mainly.
