Sad consequences for HIS own actions. The blame (game) is all on him. Sadly the City will settle to avoid a million bucks of taxpayer money to defend itself in court. This guy f'd up badly and now wants someone else to pay for his extremely poor judgement. IF he was a legit, licensed mechanic, he would know the LEGAL process to collect the debt. He failed on every level.

Why do some people always defend law enforcement wrong doing, by blaming the injured, abused, and mistreated person(s) for the police mistreatment of it's citizens? Chris, stop being so bias, as you stated "Sad consequences for His (the police) own actions". We expect better of law enforcement, but many make themselves the enemy. There are too many mentally incompetent, arrogant, and narcissist law enforcement officers with childish behaviors. They are human just like we all are, and many are prone to make BAD decisions which have BAD consequences, because of BAD psychological entrance exams, and game playing psychologist which pass the incompetent because of the much needed men. Law enforcement use to serve a good and godly purpose, but the justice system is broken my friend, and must be fixed. I am from Bakersfield, and this type of police brutality has happened to me many times, the most recent 12/27/22 involved me, my wife, and our 3 small children: CHP officers surrounded our ministry van with guns, rifles, and a bazooka ready to do a Bonnie and Clyde on us because they believed the call for backup of one of its lying officers.

@@leftistnazicensorship8882 He was fully aware that things could go very very badly running from the cops in a stolen car that he also tried to ram them with. I’m not saying it wasn’t excessive, but he made his choices and I can’t make myself feel bad for him. He had ample opportunity to stop it all before he escalated it.... or he could have tried going the legal route from the start and avoided ALLLLL this. We’d all love to take the law into our own hands but it doesn’t work that way. If he actually thought what he was doing was right, he wouldn’t have led them in a chase and instead explained why he did what he did. He was pissed off and decided to teach the customer a lesson. He probably did the work at home because a legit repair shop won’t release your vehicle until the bill is settled.

I’m sorry, dude made a WHOLE BUNCH of incredibly stupid decisions that ultimately led to his being injured. Perhaps it was excessive force but he had plenty of opportunity to stop all this before he was injured. I’m sure it was painful but I have a hard time feeling too sorry for people that get injured this way. If you go running with the bulls in Pamplona and they ram a horn up your backside, you knew it could happen. Yeah he was being a complete moron to run from the cops after illegally repossessing a vehicle he didn't own, which is auto theft. But I think a case could be made of excessive force. Not the first time it's happened here. To sum it all up, everyone did something wrong. No one here is blameless, this guy made a stupid decision that cost him his legs. And I don't understand why the policeman had to approach the wall fast enough to deploy his airbags on contact. This is the part where it seems very excessive.
