The original Anglia had a 997cc, 39BHP motor, so this one is twice the capacity but has six times the power! Love it.

Love these cars, 105E was 997cc and 123E was the larger 1198cc model, had 1in the 1970s which I put in a 1500gt cortina engine, bubble arches 10x13 rear wheels and 6x13 front wish it was half as fast as this one

Nerdy question. Would the tech exist to make this happen? I imagine there is precision machining for intake and exhaust portions of the engine? Plus the tyres are totally only modern tech

@@IhsanMujdeci Tires, no. And it would be carbureted, which can still make plenty good power. As for head work, it hasn't changed that much with technology tbh. The biggest difference would be close ratio gearing not being around yet. But it could have been

I like his rear windows sticker 👍Being a marshal is brilliant, you enable the sport to continue and get the most awesome positions. Sometimes you get asked to marshal at big events . And you may save someone's life one day. . This Anglia is the mutts.

Right on the brink of motoring perfection. No fancy gizmos just a pure driving sensation. Pound for pound this old ford blows any modern supercar out of the ball park. Brilliant.

I love the sound of a V8 but growing up on 80's and 90's touring and rally cars, these Cosworths have a special sound I love too. This little Anglia is beautiful, the sound, the body and how agile it is, truly something to behold.

I owned a Ford Anglia in the 80s and to this day one of the best cars I have ever had. It looked stock standard but its secret weapon was a 1600 Ford GT motor under the bonnet. Used to get some crazy looks passing 6 cylinder cars going up the hills were I lived.

My mate had the mk2 Escort popular... in that police blue colour. Underneath it was the Mexico with extensive tweaks ...with very little to show on the outside... he enjoyed blowing the bigger cars into the weeds .. I can hear his webbers suckjnb now...

I want it! Back in the early 70’s I built one with a Lotus Twin Cam engine which I used for road rallying. Surprised a few hot Escorts. Wish I still had it.

A truly weird fact about the 105 was that whenever it rained, a fair amount of it missed the back window, dripped down straight onto the boot. Our family car in around 1975 and my old man was sad to have to sell it for a mustard gold MK2 Cortina which was a 5h1t heap by contrast. Ours was cream with a navy blue stripe but I loved that Anglia.....

What I'd give to see the faces of the local racer boys here, when they were humiliated by a car as old as their grandfather! And, such a well turned out little Anglia that is. Here in the States, they chop them up for drag racers, but I like this machine so much better!
