It’s actually more efficient than a gas engine because you can run any fuel you want in a gas turbine and control how much fuel flow there is etc. that’s why some navy vessels and cargo ships use gas turbines. Extremely efficient

The ultimate offshore powerboat it has no top speed it can go from 0-300+ on water as long as the turbine can keep spinning up the drive will keep pushing the boat foward, a friend had one of these and sadly lost his life after hitting a tiny little ripple in the water at 200+ mph the boat basically atomized into nothing bigger then a quarter my friends body just turned into dust no body was ever found

@Albert Rodriguez, Mr. Albert, if you are referring to me, go take a look the side effects of taking Prednisone and these other immune suppressive drugs. Even taking 40 mg of Prednisone and surviving the the threat of fatal infections, I would likely develop Diabetes Type 2 because of existing Pre- Diabetes now I have. Also gaining 40-50 pounds of my 195 I have now. I like to loose 15 pounds and not gain weight. There's nothing I can do other than put up with this inflammatory pain causing muscle weakness and the potential of falling down everywhere or take Prednisone or other immune suppressive drugs.

Definitely not as cool as 2 or 3 big thumpers but way more practical for go fast boats. Turbines love high RPMs. Pistons and rods,,, not so much.
