At the time of no cell phones there were actually a lot of people that didn’t know how to act naturally when they were being filmed. In those days, on local television networks, they were an Endless Number of commercials exactly like Tex & Edna - This parody is perfectly executed.

@@jamesmcclelland1414 yes indeed ...those were some good days back than ..I was in the bar & club business so getting home 2-3-4-5am was common and frequent. Do it two or three stations locally they had some good entertainment on that late local evangelists which were comedic and it was also a local show that ran which came escapes me now but that too was entertaining ... Thanks for posting that it does bring back some good times the commercials as well

This was a spoof of the Canadian Division of Kraft Foods cheeses--a very similar commercial (only tasteful not gross like this spoof) used to play during the intermissions of Hockey Night in Canada in the 1970s--leave it to SCTV to spoof a piece of "Canadiana" LOL!!

I was hoping this would be funny, but it simply wasn’t. Maybe it’s a case of “‘ya had to be there” for it to be funny. Maybe it’s a Canadian thang, I wouldn’t understand. Some lame shit, imo. Watched the first half and gave up when I realized my brow was furrowed the whole time.
