Curious why you don’t clean up the litter you find? Is it against a code?

Was just there last week camping. I love the clarity of the water. I was up to my chest and still could see my toes just fine. The drive from Milwaukee isn't bad at all. Sauk Co. Is very nice too. Great video.

Great video, great water clarity, as Devil's Lake is known for. Wish there was more diversity than bass, some minnows, and a carp. It is beautiful spot in Wisconsin, and the lake and its rocky hills are a great destination spot. Great park for a weekend visit!

There is actually a large brown trout population in Devils Lake. If these guys dove in 30+ feet of water you would have seen schools of brown trout. Appears in the video that they mostly dove the shallow weedy south shore. The western shore in front of the cabins is very deep. That's where the trout are. There are also massive Pike in there. Not many but they are in there. There is a video on youtube of a kid catching a big Pike and I myself have seen 40"+ pike in there. He kept it for some reason but that's another discussion. Healthy Bluegill population as well. They used to stock walleye but that never took hold. Might be one or two swimming around in there but that's about it.

@Robin Alley Thanks, Robin! That is some great information and I really appreciate it. I've fished all my life (amateur), but by no means am I an expert. Thanks for giving me more advice on this beautiful lake!

My brother scuba dived devil's lake and had a bass following him halfway around the lake waiting for him to turn over rocks and stir up some food.

Was that the southside? Or did you enter by the north side off the parking lot?

I had a few swim beneath me at Devil's Lake years ago when I was a kid back in the late 1990's. They have or had some really big fish at that lake.

I never knew largemouth bass were so curious about humans. It's kind of funny to watch them stop and take a look at you.
