Sculpture project in Galle fort museum
Galle Fort, located in the Gulf of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was first built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later extensively fortified by the Dutch. 1649 to 17th century. It is a historical, archeological and architectural heritage monument that has been polished for over 432 years due to extensive restoration work carried out by the Department of Archeology of Sri Lanka. As part of my plan to rebuild the fort,
I created sculptures and related weapons from the Old Portuguese, Dutch, English War Strategies and Bunker Building programtheir costumes, their weapons were designed in relation to each era. The height of the Kandyan Army officer is 5 feet 6 inches, which is the average height of a Sinhalese man. Finished and colored with fiberglass medium.
