I have a SCX24 Bronco and the same 48mm shocks but my driveshafts are on the edge of separating at full extension, especially the front driveshaft. Any driveshaft suggestions? I want better driveshafts that will extend further and a stronger steering servo

I was wondering when someone else would make a build like this. I built my gray c10 identical to this, except still using stock battery tray and all slightly modified. my shocks are right side up and using the stock springs to provide some light cushioning. You should also try the proline hyrax tires. They may be a little small in comparison but they really grab in my opinion.

I'm liking this build overview vids! It helps me get familiarized with aftermarket parts. Question, did your hex extensions fit your wheels perfectly? I'm running a different injora wheels and got unlucky with the fitment of the treal rotor hex extensions (the one that you used for your bronco build)? Also, you should do a build video of the lgrp ripper chassis kit!
@CapeCrawlers
Жыл бұрын
Glad it helps! The hexes are hit or miss. Some fit really well but others I have to do significant work to get them to fit. If they’re too tight, you could lightly file down the flat parts to see if you can get them to fit. And I will have a ripper video soon!

Hi Adam. My name is Richard, and I live in Muskegon, Michigan. I recently subscribed to your channel because you have built an amazing truck. I tried the 48mm double barrel shocks and tried right side up, upside down, w/ springs and without. My biggest concern is driveshaft separation. How do I eliminate this problem? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
@CapeCrawlers

Hi Richard, a limiting strap is the best way to control the driveshaft. Check out the LGRP limiting strap. It’s an easy and effective solution

Great video! Do you know if the rear links and driveshaft from the c10 would work on the fcx24? Would have to drill a small hole in the link to mount the shocks, but I think the 10mm extension would be awesome. Im not a huge fan of the super long extended links. Also, have you ever tried to drill out the tiny 1.4mm pivot balls to fit a m2 screw?? Update.. just tried drilling out the pivot ball.. Didn't work..
@CapeCrawlers

I think the links could work with the mods you describe. Driveshafts from the scx24 do fit, so that wouldnt be an issue.

I'm working on my c10. Right now I'm trying to install the Furitek Komodo with the Tegu esc. I've got everything in the truck and plugged up and I have steering but no Throttle, forward or reverse. The tegu esc and stock receiver are both blinking. Do I need to bind the 2 together somehow or am I doing something else wrong?
@CapeCrawlers
Жыл бұрын
Did you get the Bluetooth module? Just curious if it’s registering throttle inputs on the app. You shouldn’t have to bind them together, and if there was a binding issue you wouldn’t have steering. It sounds like something is amiss with the motor connection
