There is earlier history still: among others, from before the time that the Black Sea became a sea after having been a much smaller though still very large fresh water lake. (You might call it prehistory as there was no local writing* at the time, but there is much physical evidence, a lot of it under water.) *Was just reminded that the neolithic Cucuteni Trypillia Culture, part of which occupied current day Ukraine, did have a system of writing only discovered recently (may not have been deciphered yet). you are doing such a great service for your people and by extension all that feel connected to you. I have never experienced someone doing such. It makes a lot of hope for the future. As long as there are Ukrainians doing such, there will not be what these analysts recently twaddle, fatigue, other issues, any kind of Korean frozen conflict. It is important to imagine a realistic goal in order to focus on achieving it. It requires a lot of endurance and investment, but not a lot of fantasy to imagine a fully sovereign Ukraine that in the process of access to the EU fascinates with such stories, not at least stories of COMMON heritage. Descendants of Ancient Greece and Rome are in the European Union as well. It will be a beautiful time. It will help Europeans to embrace Ukrainians much more and Ukrainians to avoid trauma and see sense and purpose in rebuilding the country and making it together with us to a prosperous place. Those who still want to steal and destroy all that will be reduced to hecklers behind the fences. Besides some KZitemrs they hyped by tricking the algorithm they so far didn't come up with anything only close to what you do constantly. Instead they embarrass themselves again and again with blatant alternate false versions of history. You have that talent, interest and background to bring real versions to light. Would be great you continued with that. Just out of actuality: These African leaders think, they and significant parts of their people got to return favor to RuZZia because the SovietUnion has been the major power behind them during the awful period of colonial imperialism. There is for sure so much wrong in this, besides the awfulness of imperialism of colonialism of course. Within my limits I immediately see, that colonial imperial countries agreed on their mistakes, return stolen valuables (while RuZZia still steals), offer partnerships without strings attached (while RuZZia asserts it's suppressing power throughout central Africa) and not at least taking sides for RuZZia is quite a stretch as Ukraine has been major part of that SovietUnion as well. A lot of history to be set straight...

Was there a relationship between Scythians and the ancient Celts? The Celts were known to the Greeks, so they'd have been known to the Scythians too! Many of my ancestors were Celts, so I am curious. 😎🇺🇦🇺🇸
@dylanvogler2165
Жыл бұрын
Probably yes, the difficulty is, that the Celts and Scythians of the time, didn't write their history. They had an oral tradition. So we don't have many sources from them. It is why we mostly use Roman and Greek sources and why we are more sure about the cultures they had contact with. It also gives us a biased look on these cultures as we only see the Greek and Roman perspectives of them. So either external sources or archaeology (finding coins or pottery, things like that, from one of the cultures at a village of the other) can provide an answer on this. But we can assume that they did know about each other. The ancient peoples, including those called "barbarian" by the Romans and Greeks, were not as isolated from each other, as we often think they were.
