Gulp alive is a great soft-plastic bait. Regardless of whether its a worm, baitfish, crab, bait strip imitation and they come in a huge range of sizes and colours. Keep them in the tub tbey come in. They have a massive following here in NZ as well as most other countries.

@@fishingsquaduk1251 I usually go around the corner and fish lures. Usually get a few bass there. Always small pollack there though. After all day there I have to have a paddle half way back to set me up for the hill.🤣

@@fishingsquaduk1251 Usually get bass on lures on these numbers but I think bait would work. 52.83740872569042, -4.723179647835804 There is also usually a net there though. Cant say I have ever seen anything big on this side of the peninsula though. (Excuse me if I delete those in a minute or so.) You got them because you were honest about where you fish and I had heard of Turbot there but never seen one caught thanks for the confirmation .👍

Not something I usually share but a friend and I had some huge pollack there. The second island. I mean huge. I am six four and had a fish that had its head on the ground while I was holding its tail. We both thought after that this was probably a welsh shore record. It was the days before cameras on phones though. It needs very specific weather to fish well though.
