I think you’re a knowledgeable angler mate. But still think you need to scale down on hook sizes. In my opinion you should not be using 1/0 and 2/0 hooks fishing for plaice. You miss to many bites on larger hooks. To be honest if you hook a thorn back. And you was using strong size 2 hooks you would still land it
@SEAANGLINGADVENTURES

Yes I agree with your comment buddy but with doing so that way I would be reeling in small plaice all day long . The point of fishing the bigger hook is to make sure the bait stays in the water longer , hopefully on the off chance that monster plaice comes along . If I put size 4 or 2 ‘s on you would catch a lot of small fish all day down there mate.

@@SEAANGLINGADVENTURES I know what you’re saying. But the bigger fish won’t discriminate against smaller hook sizes. They will pick the bait up on small hooks as well as larger hooks. I’ve fished many of these venues that you fish. And learnt a lot about fishing whilst fishing with some of the top anglers in the West Country. And believe me they use smaller patterned hook’s for most species.

@@anthonyhemmings1247 yeah I can see many do but for me personally I’d rather keep the bait in the water, a lot of the time the smaller fish will nibble at it then along comes the monster and smashes it down. That’s the joy of angling thou as everyone has there own way mate

Close to £2million , probably holiday homes for London suites 🙄, Very, very , few local people, born and bred there can afford to live there.
