Wish the ptaransas jetties were that easy to walk out to just cant handle them rocks hurt like hell and usually draw blood when you fall..big ass saltwater eel caught smaller ones use for cout bait for gafftop...

@@3rdCoastFishinhaha understandable but i’ll betchur bottom dollar if somebody told you it was fish and served it to you and did not tell you it was eel, or told you it was an exotic fish, you’d not be the wiser and you’d like it. I’d put money on it. Rhe yuckiness in our minds is psychological totally. They’re perfectly edible just like the hardheads and gafftops and all that perceived yuckiness is some sort of weird ridiculousness of American fishing sub culture. It seems like our preferences for the Texas slam morphed into myths of inedibility over the decades. Myths that I myself have only recently come to understand are simple preferences. Preferences are totally grand and good. Is American anglers saying that something is not edible or is trash when it is clearly and definitely eatable and other cultures consider it a delicacy is utter, udder ridiculousness. If we don’t prefer it great. But I have come to realize how utterly udderly stupid the whole trash fish thing that I was raised on is.
