My son just started taking over our day boat scalloping, so son of a son of a sailor hits home. Not a lot of people know Cape May is the second largest port on the east coast!

I’m not really sure what was going on but that’s not the scalloping I do more then half that video you were picking that one pile that’s not how you really go about it regularly it was just playing around for the camera right

It was just for the video, slinging hundreds of scallops at light speed isn't very interesting to watch, ya' know?

How do you guys feel about us recreational guys fishing in your bycatch slick. Last June Bluefin were holding behind the scallop boats in the cigar area. I had some luck trolling a few hundred yards behind some boats. However I would really love to come right up next to you and throw chunks into your slick. Ive heard of guys exchanging beer for a bucket of bycatch and the right to fish your slick. is this true?

Thanks for the comment - it is work, and it is fun. Like a guy once told me: "Find something you love to do, and you'll never work a day in your life" :-)

How does one go about getting a commercial scalloping license? I plan on buying a boat in 6 years, but it seems like they make the information very hard to obtain.
