Great beard, I presume you are a non smoker...Have had one of these for several years. There's little to criticise except it is noisy. I'm not tall (178cms) but bought the extra long version. The small weight penalty is worth it for the substantial increase in surface area. Spend a few dollars more for the jet stream pump sack. My days of huffing and puffing is over thanks to this amazing little piece of kit.

Is there such discernible difference in comfort between the Ultralight and the Comfortlight?

Do you find the insulated version any less noisey than the standard ultralight? Thanks.

There is not much of a difference between the two models from a sound perspective because the outside materials are similar. With a little bit of wear, the crinkle factor tends to calm down on many of the ultra lightweight pads.

Is this still warm enough for winter camping? With temperature going under -20, -25 degree celcius?

Thanks for the question. The Sea to Summit Ultralight Insulated Mat has an R-Value of 3.3, that's not quite warm enough for the temperatures you mentioned in your comment. We'd recommend a pad with an R Value higher than 5, or try pairing your sleeping pad with another, closed cell foam pad to raise the R Value, like the Therm-a-Rest RidgeRest SOLite: www.backcountryedge.com/therm-a-rest-ridge-rest-solite.html?.com&IrJ3Z4eEGTI

What temperature would you say this mat "can take" then? Of course it's individual how warm you are, but do you have an approximate comfort temperature? Many mat manufacturers talks a lot about the mats R-value, but not so much about what temperature the r-value actually makes comfortable.

It's hard to nail down an exact temperature rating for sleeping pads. For a Sleeping pad with an R Value of 3.3 like the Sea to Summit Ultralight Insulated Mat, we'd say it would be comfortable from down to 15 - 20 degrees. Here is a video on R Values that might help explain the ratings: www.backcountryedge.com/videos/what-is-a-sleeping-pads-r-value

Thank you. I got the one thats rated just above, 4.2 r value and i complemented it with a z-lit pad. Should be just fine.
