Chef thanks for sharing the information about the Sea to Summit pots and the chili Mac recipe… I’ve been using the pots (1.4 & 2.8 liters) for a while now… I’ve never had a problem with them and I love how they nest inside the Sea to Summit skillet and the Sea to Summit bowl & mugs nest inside the pots… Which saves a lot of room in my backpack… Last thought… I’m definitely going to give the recipe a try… Right after I order the green chili mix

Super cool to know that Sea to Summit has these pots! I am in love with my Sea to Summit ultralight fry pan which I take on all my backpacking trips. It is like 8oz and I can make pizzas, pancakes, quesadillas, tacos, falafel etc. The sky is the limit! My fellow backpackers always stare at my yummy food with ravenous looks..lol. I will add one of these pots to my car camping collection. Thanks for the review!

Great looking dish, I'll have to try it (I'll carry some dehydrated ground beef for mine), I've thought about those collapsible pots before but never made the plunge. My stuff is usually titanium because I'm old and tired! Keep up the great videos.

It's very limited in use if you can't saute/fry in it 🤷🏼♂️. Thanks for bringing that up, I was just about to buy one

This might be something id use for car camping since itll collapse so small. I would be too worried of flames touching the edges to have it as a solo pot while backpacking.

I’ve had the flames going up the sides on mine on occasion and it’s always been fine. I’ve had their whole collection for about a year now and used them in a variety of different scenarios and they’ve been great. Can’t recommend highly enough

I bought the 4L specifically because I'm strictly car camping and my stove would probably set it on fire if the surface area of the base isn't wide enough.

thanks for all the inspiration... Ive 2 combinatios which I like to have some advice to make some dinners; 1) For breakfast Custert- and mikpowder with (oats are not gonna work) 2) boild dryed shrimps from the asian toko Would I soak blackbeans for a long time to make a easy Chilly with those dryed shrimps? thank you again Jeroen (Jerome) from Holland "Not M..." you know the riddle
@ChefCorso

Hey J. 1) breakfast custard can be made with some instant pudding mix and adding some powdered eggs. It needs a few minutes to hydrate and can be an option 2) dried beans need to soak for many hours and when done soaking need at least an hour to cook through. I do not recommend them for trail cooking. Dehydrated or freeze-dried beans are better options. Cheers!

How well would the 1.4L one work with the Jetboil MightyMo? The MightyMo has a larger burner than the Pocket Rocket 2.
@ChefCorso
7 ай бұрын
It would definitely work a little better than a pocket rocket. If you do, make sure to use the metal extender insert on the jetboil so you don't snuff out the flame with your pot.

have you used the sae to summit 's new frontier pot? Looks like they beefed up on the metal to silicone material ratio while still maintaining the collapsible function? it wud be awesome if you review their new line of frontier pots
