I agree with sac rat. Easy to replace the fuel filter and check though. I was going to say possibly pickup screens but you covered that. You may have fixed it already.

These early skis were never designed to accept fuel that has ethanol in it. The result is that the fuel lines look fine on the outside but on the insides of the fuel line they are falling apart sending debris into the carbs or injectors and fuel petcock. Replace all fuel lines, clean injectors or rebuild and clean carbs and petcock and replace fuel filters.

If that dont fix it, take the carb out again, start fresh do a rebuild, replace fuel filter, hoses and you be water ready, also notice you still have some old gray hoses, replaces those asap they clogged easy.

@papadonjetski9535

No it didn't, but my Yamaha filled with water. The way I diagnosed it was putting it back on the water and just puttering around the dock until I found where the water was getting in. Probably the most common leak on a Seadoo is where the drive shaft enters the hull at the support ring and carbon ring.

How did you remove the fuel pump assembly? I have the same model seadoo, but the pump assembly hits the top of the hull with 1-2” of pump still in the tank. I’ve tried pulling it out at different angles and twisting the pump to different positions. Did you remove the top black plastic piece from the aluminum body on the pump? Did you have to move the tank at all?
@papadonjetski9535
2 жыл бұрын
I had the same issue and no, I didn't remove the top of the pump. I moved the air ducts, drained the tank to almost empty and slid the tank forward. I got it out but I still struggled and it wasn't easy. If I ever have to do it again I'm going to take the extra time and remove the plastic housing of the ski above the tank. I believe that would give me easy access to the pump. Good luck.

@@papadonjetski9535 Easiest way on those is just pop the steering cable off. Then remove the 4 bolts holding the steering support assembly to the hull. Then just raise the steering up off the hull for the extra clearance you need to pull that pump module out.

@papadonjetski9535

You can go to a website like Partzilla (there are others just like it) and there it will walk you through finding your 94 Kawasaki parts diagram. Once you find the propeller, it will list the part number on the right. Then google that part number and you should see multiple places that sell your propeller and you can do a price check between them.

Well, it could be the same problem I had with the GSX. The problem was the 2 fuel filters on the bottom of the fuel pump assembly. You probably have the same pump so my video will show you how to replace them. Or you could have carbs that need rebuilt along with new fuel lines. My GTI ran great on the trailer, but on the water it would die as soon as I gave it throttle. The problem turned out to be dirty carbs and old fuel lines. Once I rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel lines the ski ran great.
