Looks exactly like my hankai 3.5hp, prob the same thing. My prop was really hard to turn by hand. If yours is like that I recommend taking it off and lubing or marine greasing all the parts that move. Maybe more gear oil too for the lower compartment. After lubing it turned significantly easier. Will prob save your clutch from harder wear.

Hope You get this message. I am thinking of purchasing this motor for my kayak. How has it held up? Also would you recommend it. Thanks for your videos!

I would rate this outboard motor at 2 out of 5. The only saving rate is it's weight but it's loud. I have several small outboards and when it's all said and done the Mercury 3.3 hp. 2stroke works best for me on a 9.6 ft inflatable it's light and quiet I would rate this at 4 out of 5.. I purchased this motor for $200.00 used in very good condition.

What does the shaft measure on these? Considered a long shaft? Looking for a kicker for my drift boat (250lbs). Thanks!

the motor does have cooling fins on it so it gets some cooling when idling. I have this outboard and i can honestly say it is garbage. after about 3 hrs total run time the gear oil all leaked out and the shaft that goes down to the gearbox wore down where the oil seal touches it. very poor quality

Think you would be on the upper end of it's capabilities. I use mine on a 9'6" Mercury hard bottom with two passengers and it's just ok.

If you need portability go for something as lite as possible. If the boat will stay in the water you may wish to go bigger and heavier. I went with a Mercury 3.6 hp 2 stroke for portability good match.
