I kind of thought that was the way I should do this. Thanks for posting this video. There aren't many out there focusing on bark finishing. I did learn a couple things such as sealing the bark edge and brush techniques. I am using a toothbrush to clean up any moss that is on my black walnut bark edge. Would love if you could do a video on possible bark prep. Thanks again.

Would you use this in combination with a non-resin finish for the slab surface? COuld you just sand down the top and coat with another finish like Osmo or Rubio? I don't really want to epoxy my entire slab, but I want to keep the bark if possible. What to you recommend? Thanks for the video!

Do you do this before or after waxing the top of the worktop? What do you do with the over spill at the top? Does it just wipe off? Thanks

Have you applied Chill Sealer to the piece with the live bark edge pointing upwards? It seems like this would be the best way to let the epoxy soak into the bark. Or does it soak in better from the side? And would you not want to apply your finish first, like Danish Oil, let it dry then epoxy the whole table top? Does the Chill Sealer leave a high gloss shine like other epoxies?

What about the rest of the top? Do you brush this on the rest of the top as well

I want to preserve the bark on a beautiful slab I have to make a table, but the bark has fallen off in some places and is already loose in others. Can you use the epoxy as glue by removing the loose bark, applying epoxy on the inside of the bark and then reattaching the bark and clamping it to the slab until it sets?

Would this be strong enough to hold the bark on my home bar?
