Seals and Crofts were and are in my top five favorite bands/singers ever. Their songs are my life, my beliefs, my world. There will never be a duo like these two great singer/song writers. They stuck to their core beliefs about life and were amazing.

I love their signature sound! I also love the style of fashion. I was born in 80, heard it on the radio I’m sure! I don’t know how to describe the emotion I get when I hear this track? At the same time I want to be a child but also 15-20 years old. “It’s so nice to be with you” another timeless song you can enjoy into eternity. I hope one day God takes me to that happy place i experienced when i was growing up in white rock bc in the early 80’s. The music-the soul was on a different level then! 😢 😢 😭

Love these guys, back in my youth when rock and roll and the music was just fantastic. Had this originally on 8 track and Jim Croce , three dog night, eagles and ccr. The 8 tracks did not last too long, years later got them all back on CD. Hard to believe at I will be 65 years young in three months. I am glad I lived my youth back in the 70's . This wasn’t lip synced at all. They played live. It just that what we (in TV land) heard was overdubbed with the original recording. If you were there live in the studio audience, you heard them live, not any recording. Those at home watching on TV, heard the recording. That was how it was typically done in those days. Of course they were actually singing out loud, you just couldn’t hear them unless you were there in the audience. Notice they weren’t even trying to lip sync at all, it was way off. The producers were too afraid any live performance just wouldn’t sound good enough. Little faith in the actual musicianship of the artists back then. Just stupid.

@blockcl
Жыл бұрын
Unless the artists insisted on performing live, most variety shows preferred to do recorded (lip sync) performances. It was cheaper, required less rehearsal time, and guaranteed that the finished product would sound exactly as the audience expected. Since most music acts saw appearances on shows like this primarily as a way to boost record sales, my guess is that S & C just said "eh, whatever." Going live wasn't worth the fuss (besides, who knew this clip would be floating around the atmosphere forty-some years later?).
