This was the turning point in the game. Possibly for the start of Edmonton’s season as well, finally playing with some emotion and not being mentally stuck in the dressing room after game 7. Hopefully they can string a few wins together so they don’t have to tire themselves out for the rest of the season trying to claw back like last year Also props to Perry and especially Stecher, both guys have been big bright spots in the hell hole that was the start of the season

Felt good to see the boys standing up for their teammate and letting the opponents know that we’re not going to tolerate them running our goalie. Much better response than against Calgary. This also turned the momentum in our favour as well and played a part in us coming back to win!! God going, Stech and Perry!

Skinner had established position on the ice, when contact was made, he was not moving, feet firmly planted. You can not hit a player just for being in the way. If Skinner was moving when he got hit then i could see it, but he had position prior to contact. It's a penalty on Philly

There is no obligation to give the other player a way through and you can not run a player over just because your path is blocked. Skinner had the ice first, he doesnt have to move and you cant hit a player without the puck

However, by the definition of interference, "interference is defined as when a player uses their body (“pick” or “block”) to impede the progress of an opponent (non-puck carrier) with no effort to play the puck." In this case, it would actually be Skinner who could be guilty of interference since he was heading back to his net and then altered his course, moving backwards into the path of the approaching player. Your "feet planted" take on this situation is just as biased and Homer as the commentary on the play, lol!
