Creativity is exploration.
Music: Le Monde - Richard Carter
Words:
There's a particular space through which a journey would never end,
a truly unfathomable place, it's much too large to comprehend.
It's a place of many secrets, well, all of them in fact.
Contained within it you'll find everything from concrete to abstract.
The concept itself is simple, some might even say it's comical
that something so ideologically basic would have results so astronomical.
Picture a collection of pixels, an image, if you will,
now imagine all the different ways that image could be filled.
It could be a barbecue, or a moose in a canoe
or a yew, or bamboo, or many different shades of blue.
A visual representation of every sound to ever be heard,
every letter, every word, can you see how it's absurd?
Your DNA on full display, a record kept of every day
not just of now, or of before, but going forward, evermore!
Every truth, every lie, simply waiting for your eye,
a nearly endless stream of content to delight and horrify!
Hang on, hold up a second, what exactly is the implication?
That somehow creativity is itself a work of fiction?
The question becomes not how it can be made, but instead, how it can be found...
an idea, ironically, upon which the space itself could expound.
How does one even begin to navigate such a gargantuan expanse?
If you stare into the abyss, does it return so much as a glance?
To search the unsearchable would seem to be an impossible affair,
but before you're quick to despair there's something of which you should be made aware:
every photo taken, every line drawn, every pixel manipulated
is in fact an act of exploration, motivated and dictated by you!
Your mind is designed to be exploratorily inclined,
so why not pick up a pencil and show us what you find?
