Salmon flies are a myth they don't exist. For the last five years it's been you should have been here last week or they should come off any minute. Or my absolute favorite my friend called me last night and said, " they are coming of down river". I think the fly fishing industry came up with Salmon flies as a way to sell more flies and gear.

Got scared, the title; I mis-read as "searching for salmon eggs". Noooo, it can't be true!! Then re-read it, now it 's good. Yeah, looks like the trip is a lot about the good bro's, good beer, and good chicken. Only you are not Huge if you get my drift, naturally that is. ;D Cool scenery, I'm a "huge plein air painter" so I'd go along and document your trip in oil paintings of landscapes, if anyone wanted them. I've also been known to "beat the water to a foamy froth" too. Did the mule pack trip thing into the Seirra Nevada a few times with friends to paint for a week, took fly rod to catch some food, as a break from the usual camp provisions. Good stuff, Ben, stay huge, but not too Huge, right!! :D

Always fun to watch your vids. Lots of humor. I think I know that place… thanks for being chill about it. The name game is always a great way to keep track of fish without counting. Try starting at the beginning of the alphabet and work your way thru. First fish of the day starts with A. When the fishing is good, you have to get creative at the end of the alphabet! Some days we use band names to play thru… ABBA is surprisingly popular with fly fisherman. Peace, and stay huge.

Salmon flies are overrated. They hatch randomly and go by fast. When the fish fill up on them they become less eager to eat it seems like too. People just like them because they get to fish with a huge dry fly
